Leave types

Leave types allow an arbitrary classification of Leave items. Each different type of leave can be assigned General ledger expense and provision accounts per Department. There are several types of leave which are internal to the system and may not be removed.

  • Up to 15 Leave types can be defined
  • Leave type codes are FlexiCode

Special actions available for users with Administrator permissions:

  • Change the User ID of the Entered by field of memos.
  • Edit memos entered by other users.

Database rules:

  • A Leave type cannot be deleted if it is assigned as the Leave type for any Leave items
  • Internal Leave types cannot be deleted

Reference: list, read-only

This lists all the Leave types currently defined. As you click on an item in the list, the details for that Leave type will be displayed to the right of the list.

When you want to edit a Leave type, ensure that it is selected in the list and then click on the Edit button.

Reference: text(64), FlexiCode, mandatory

This is the name of the Leave type.

The Leave type name is a FlexiCode. This allows you to modify the name while still retaining all previous internal references and links to that Leave type.

Reference: memo, expandable

This is a free text field in which you can enter a full description of the nature and usage of the Leave type.

Reference: text, read-only

This indicates whether or not the Leave type is internal. An internal Leave type cannot be modified or deleted.
